We first visited Akoya Pediatric Dentistry in September 2025, and from the very beginning, our daughter Caylie has always felt at home, safe and genuinely cared for. Dr. Chau McGovern, Dr. Joanna Theodorou and their entire team have made such a lasting impression on our family. Dr. McGovern performed all of Caylie’s procedures, including procedures that were quite complex, and we could not have asked for a more caring, patient and engaging dentist. She has such a wonderful way of connecting with children. Her patience and gentle approach helped Caylie listen, calm down and feel comfortable enough to cooperate throughout her procedures. As a parent, seeing your child feel safe and trust their dentist is priceless. We were also incredibly impressed by the entire staff. Everyone was friendly, gentle, welcoming and easygoing. They interacted with Caylie with so much warmth and kindness that she quickly felt safe and comfortable with the whole team. Their teamwork was truly remarkable, and it made what could have been a stressful experience feel reassuring and manageable for our entire family. Dr. McGovern and the entire staff was welcoming, professional, and so loving. My 3 and 5 year old boys felt comfortable and at ease during their dental visits time and time again. The office is beautiful and has a wide variety of toys and books for kids. It’s like a spa experience for kids! The facility is spacious and feels very clean and well maintained. My son needed nitrous and I felt very comfortable with their expertise in doing so safely. I highly recommend Akoya Pediatric Dentistry!

We loved this office and the Dr Joanna Theodorou was so patient with my 15 month old and she answered all our questions. I can't recommend this place enough. We had a cleaning and a check up and everything went so smoothly. I love that they have a designated toy area for children, they have cute stuffed animals to distract them and a tv in the background. The staff is so friendly and the assistant was also so friendly and professional. I am a really glad a mom referred me to this office and looking forward to our next visit. I found it cute they give the children a certificate and they have a raffle for the no cavities club. 10/10 Recommend taking your child here.

We had such a great experience at Akoya Pediatric Dentistry! All 3 of my kids were seen and each one felt comfortable and well taken care of. The staff was patient, friendly, and made the whole visit smooth from start to finish. The dentist was gentle, explained everything clearly, and made the kids feel at ease. Specially for my 1 year old. It’s not always easy taking multiple kids to appointments, but they made it a really positive experience for our family. Highly recommend!

We had such a great experience at this pediatric dental office. The entire staff was kind, patient and truly amazing with my kids. They made the visit fun and engaging from start to finish. My kids especially loved the little incentives like the no cavities raffle, which made them excited and proud of their visit! It’s clear they go above and beyond to create a positive experience. We’re so happy we found this office and highly recommend it to other families. 🦷✨
